These air turbines were located at the downcast shafts, to provide air circulation underground. The original still exists at „Zeche Zollern“ and is completely made out of metal. Kit is made up of 8 elements.

Cooling tower, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 170mm, width 120mm, height 340mm

Cooling towers like this were widely used to cool down water. Water trickles down within the tower, into a collection tank at the bottom. Steel works, colliery, power plant. They all need their cooling tower.

Machine house „Minister Achenbach“-colliery, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 277mm, width 172mm, height 170mm

These machine houses contained the machinery for the hoist cables. To be true to the original, two should be placed alongside. Although this model replicates the actual machine house, it can be used for several applications within factory/industry settings. Please also consider articles 17010 Pit bank and 17015 Coal washery.

Coal washery, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 375mm, width 140mm, height 320mm

Typical coal washers, elevated to facilitate tracks. Here the coal was washed and sorted before being loaded into coal wagons. Narrow construction, can also be used as background scenery.

Kit includes water tank. Versatile, functional building

Power house, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 230mm, width 140mm, height 130mm

This building was the power centre for Schürmann & Schröder, a cloth factory in the Wupper valley. It provided electricity and drove the transmissions. The kit is universally applicable for any kind of factory. Several buildings can easily be put alongside each other.

Large cooling tower, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 190mm, width 190mm, height 300mm

Elaborate cooling tower in wood etching. The original still exists at „Kokerei Hansa“, and is currently being renovated. See original photo.

Attention: the carton used is vapour oil proof, thus can be used with steam generators without de-coloring or disintegrating the material.

Headframe pit IV, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 230mm, width 155mm, height 350mm

The construction of this winding tower is based on the one at the „Minister Achenbach“-colliery, pit IV. With its small height and reasonable dimensions well suited for smaller layouts or colliery dioramas. Includes the usual high quality with numerous details, such as the stairs with cut-work grids. One for the „rivet-counters“.

Fits with article 17025 Ground pit bank.

Turning shop Mülheim base kit, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 235mm, width 135mm, height 125mm

The original, part of the local repair works, still exists in Mülheim. It is a listed building and is being extensively refurbished. The base kit consists of the gables walls and outside walls with 6 windows and can be built on its own. Elaborate brick facades, true to the original roof structure, „plaster“-finish on the inside walls, very delicate windows. Can be extended with other kits (articles no.17020/17021/17021).

Turning shop Mülheim width extension, kit H0 (1:87), Dimensions: length 235mm, width 98mm, height 115mm

This kit extends on the base kit. As in the original, the extension has a slightly different gable shape than the base. Extension can be added on right or left side.

This kit extends the base kit by 6 windows, any desired number of extensions is possible. The original has 18 windows.Can only  be built in connection with article no. 17019!
